To support the Trinity family of schools to deliver balanced excellence – spiritually, physically, socially, culturally and academically – enabling students and staff to experience life in all its fullness through our Special Character.

Trinity Schools Trust Board

The Trinity Schools Trust Board are the Board of Proprietors for Hadlow, Rathkeale and St Matthew’s. They own the schools, land and buildings, including Hadlow Preschool.

Board Members

John Kirkup
TSTB Board Chair
John has been on the TSTB Board since 2021, is the Chair of the Property & Finance Committee, and a BOP representative on St Matthew’s Board of Trustees. John has three daughters at St Matthews. John’s background is in Management Accounting as a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accounts and an Associate of Chartered Accounts Australia, New Zealand. He has 20 years’ experience in all aspects of accounting, planning and performance reporting, and has worked in tourism, telecommunications, health, and sports management. Currently working as Senior Financial Consultant at NZ Rugby, and also serving on the boards of local Squash and Tennis organisations.

Lana Stockman
Lana joined the Trinity Schools Trust Board in 2022 and serves on the Property and Finance Committee, and is a Proprietors representative on Hadlow Preparatory School Board of Trustees. She has a range of governance roles including Board Member of the Electricity Authority, Independent Director for Financial Advice New Zealand, Ethics Committee for Ministry of Health, and the Hospice Wairarapa Community Trust. Her executive career was in the energy and infrastructure sectors.
Lana’s son attends Hadlow.

Matt Weston
Matt Weston is a career Army Officer who moved with his family to the Wairarapa in 2013. His professional experience includes significant roles in military operations, training, education, and managing large organisations. Most recently he has been employed as the Deputy Chief of Army and is currently the Chief People Officer for the New Zealand Defence Force.
Matt has a Master’s Degree in Public Management and outside work enjoys cooking, gardening and fly fishing.

Victoria Read
Victoria joined the TSTB in 2025 and serves as a Proprietors representative on the Rathkeale College Board of Trustees. Her professional background includes governance roles alongside her current position managing the New Zealand Gardens Trust. Victoria is a Registered Architect and Director at Aspect Architecture since 2000. With four children educated in the Trinity Schools system, Victoria has a deep personal understanding of the schools’ community and values.

Rev John Hughes
John is formerly from South Africa where he obtained an Honours degree in Computer Science and Mathematical Statistics. He worked as a Research Scientist for a number of years before a call to ordination in the Anglican Church.

Previously he has been a Trustee of the Anglican Church in Southern Africa, member of the Board of Trustees of Wellesley College. He is currently Director of Discernment for Wellington Diocese. He is the Bishop of Wellington’s representative on the Trinity Board and chairs the Special Character Sub-Committee of the Board. He is also a Board Member of the Wairarapa Families Anglican Trust. He is a keen Woodturner.


Gareth Jolliffe
Gareth joined the TSTB Board in 2024. Gareth is a management consultant working across both the private and public sectors specialising in Programme and Change management, Transformation and Implementation of large scale programmes. Gareth has a strong association with Trinity Schools having two boys who went to Hadlow Preschool, Hadlow Preparatory and are currently students at Rathkeale. He has served on the Hadlow Board of Trustees including as Board Chair. He is a volunteer for the Springboard trust providing mentorship to School Principals across New Zealand.

Rev. Wendy Scott
Kia ora Ko Wendy Scott toku ingoa. I am the priest in charge of St Matthews here in Masterton, I also am chaplain to Hadlow Preschool, which is an absolute delight. I come with a vast background in governance, in church and charitable trusts. I have had 20 years of ministry experience in the Anglican church holding a number of roles and 25 years nursing in Acute care settings and nursing education. I look forward to serving the Trinity schools.

Felicity McNeill
A Wellingtonian with roots in Kuala Lumpur, Felicity settled in the Wairarapa with her husband and three children in 2020. She brings over a decade of legal experience and a cross-cultural perspective, holding degrees in both Law and Science. Her career spans education law, employment, property, mental health, privacy law and commercial contracts, and she is currently a company director of a tech start-up she co-founded with her husband.

Felicity has served on charitable trust boards and was a long-standing trustee of a catholic integrated school. As a parent with children at Rathkeale and Hadlow, she values faith-based education and brings a strength in balancing strategic insight with practical delivery.


Nicola
Nicola joined the TSTB in 2025 and also serves as the Proprietors’ Representative on the St Matthew’s Collegiate School Board of Trustees. A leadership specialist with over two decades of experience across New Zealand, Australia, and Europe, she has held senior roles in the private and public sector and now leads the Leadership and Capability programme at Te Waihanga – New Zealand Infrastructure Commission.

Nicola is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Directors and a Director of Explore Consulting, an agribusiness and energy consultancy in Martinborough. She holds a Master’s in Management Development from the University of Westminster, London along with degrees in Marketing, Management, and Psychology from Victoria University of Wellington. With a daughter at St Matthews and a son who will attend Rathkeale shortly, Nicola combines professional leadership and governance experience with a passion for educating strong, independent and resilient young women and men.

Management

Cath Archer
Cath brings experience across several sectors including education, government, technology, and entrepreneurship. She is a well-regarded business leader with specialist skills encompassing strategic marketing and communications, stakeholder relations, raising capital, and international business development.

Previous roles include Managing Director as founder of an export beverage company, Start-up ecosystem Manager for government, and Institute Director for tertiary education school, Le Cordon Bleu NZ. She is proud to call the Wairarapa home and has 2 children who were educated in the Trinity Schools.

Principals

Annabel Wyeth
Hadlow Preschool
Annabel is a qualified and registered early childhood teacher and has been at Hadlow Pre-School since 2012.  In 2016 she was appointed the senior teacher role and is enjoying working with her team to create a welcoming, safe and vibrant learning environment for the children and their whanau. ​

Andrew Osmond
Hadlow Preparatory School
Andrew has been Principal of Hadlow School since 2018, and a Principal for 13 years, previously as Headmaster at St George’s Anglican School in Whanganui and Principal at Fordell School. He began his teaching career in 1994 and worked in various state and independent schools in New Zealand and the UK.

Andrew feels incredibly privileged to work alongside and lead the wonderful team, students, and families at Hadlow. As a Special Character school with a proud history, the school also embraces future focused education in preparation for today’s world. Our students show a growth mindset, they are creative, curious and kind with a passion for learning.


Kiri Gill
St Matthew’s Collegiate
Kiri holds a double major Bachelors Degree in English and History and a Post Graduate diploma in Secondary Teaching. Her teaching career began in Auckland in 1984 and her career journey has seen her make her way down the motu- teaching in a variety of secondary schools, including a period in tertiary teaching.
She is a ‘family first’ person who endeavours to lead by example to make sure she takes care of those she loves, and those that love her.
Kiri believes that people matter, both personally and professionally. Everyday she works to raise and nurture the people in her orbit, in the same way she does with her children- to care, to be decent, and learn from all that we do. She is a strong believer that we all have worth, and each of us adds value.

Adam Gordan
Rathkeale College
Adam was appointed Acting Principal at the start of 2026 after a tenure as Deputy Principal and Head of Senior College from 2017. He was previously Head of Music and Dean of Year 12 at Rathkeale College since 2010. His teaching background is in Music. He holds an MA from Oxford University and PGCE from King Alfred’s College, Winchester. He is also an Associate of the Royal College of Organists. Adam came to Rathkeale from the British International School, Jakarta, where he was Head of Performing Arts for nine years. Prior to that he was Head of Music in schools in the UK and NZ including Scots College and Whanganui Collegiate, where he was also a Boarding Housemaster. Adam still enjoys his involvement in the musical life of Rathkeale, in particular, whole school singing.
